Arkansas Bride: Eliza Wessinger Bobryshev
Go ahead and just take your shoes off because your socks are about to be knocked right on off with these gorgeous bridals taken by Kati Mallory Photo & Design. Eliza Wessinger, an Arkansas native and the lucky sister of the photographer, wed her beau, Mr. Paul Bobryshev, on August 24, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois! We feel so lucky to share these cheery photos with you today and know that they will make your day!
Eliza's breathtaking bridals were taken in the very park where Paul proposed. . . precious! Eliza and Paul met and fell in love in Little Rock, where they dated for many years before moving to Chicago for Paul's residency. Because Paul is from Ukraine, they decided to host their wedding in Chicago to make it easier on their international travelers. From what we've heard, it was the best decision and an absolute ball! Until we can get our hands on their wedding day photos, we hope these will tie you over!
Special thanks to bridesmaid and sister of the year, Kati Mallory of Kati Mallory Photo & Design, for supplying this bridal session!
XOXO,
Anne-Claire

Now, here's a bit more on Lee Ann and Stuart straight from the bride to be! We just love their sweet story and think you will too!
Stuart and I are both farmers kids who grew up in the same area, went to the same high school, but never really connected because of our four year age difference. We met at a friend's house one night and "officially" met when he helped me clean up a mess...I swept, he held the dust pan. We didn't see each other for about a year after that. We were then set up through mutual friends. We've been by each other's side ever since.. a little over three years. We are looking forward to our wedding on Oct. 26.
All of our engagement session locations have meaning. Though our fathers are grain farmers, we both now how important it is to support local producers..the Bernice Gardens Farmers Market seemed like a perfect fit for us.
I work for the Central Arkansas Library System in the Public Relations department. The second location, Concordia Hall in the Arkansas Studies Institute, holds a special place in my heart. Having the start of our history documented in a place that holds so much Arkansas history was really special for us. The piece that can be seen in the background of a few of the shots, from the CALS permanent collection, depicts a fairy tale.
The last picture is taken on the highway close to the Lands End plantation near Scott. Stuart and I will make our home in England, and oftentimes, we drive down that highway and marvel at all of the beautiful trees that flank each side of the highway and the farm land surrounding it. That drive also lets us look at all of the crops growing in the field...something you just do as a farmer's kid. It reminds me that sometimes it is okay to take the road less traveled.
Hugs and kisses to Danielle Davis Art/Photography! Beautiful, as always!!!
XOXO,
Anne-Claire

Featured Vendor: Elmer Escobar Photography
Welcome to Thursday, TWPers! And, what a super fab day today is. INDEED! Why, you ask? Because this is THE day we are introducing you to the work of ELMER ESCOBAR!!!!
We were soooo blown away the first time we layed eyes on these sweet images, we just knew we had to find out more about this Arkansas newcomer. Here's a little bit of what we discovered. Scroll through the post for more of our fun question and answer session with Elmer. . .
TWP:Can you tell our readers a little bit about who you are?
EEP: My name is Elmer Escobar. I'm originally from El Salvador, but I was raised in New York City. I've been shooting for the last 7 years. A lot of my inspiration has come from traveling and road trips. Even when I made the move from New York to California I decided to take that as an opportunity to photograph across the country. When I did that trip it was all on my own, now when I go on road trips I like bringing my fiance' and my 1 year old shar pei (Tank). Together we make random stops whenever something catches our attention. On my downtime I enjoy working out, barbecuing, and visiting friends. I'm really excited to be in Arkansas. It gives me a completely new palette to work with! I look forward to getting to know the people and the new sceneries that Arkansas has to offer!
TWP: What brought you to Arkansas?
EEP: Like a lot of decisions in life, it was for a girl. My fiance' was offered a really good position as a wardrobe stylist out here so we packed Tank the dog and headed to Arkansas. So far it seems like it's been the best decision we could have made both for her and for my career. We love California but we are finding out Arkansas has a lot to offer as well. I love taking random drives, and those random drives slowly but surely turn into scouting locations for future shoots (Petit Jean Engagement Session).
TWP: What drew you to photographing weddings?
EEP: It actually happened by accident. I was in school for photography and one of my friends told me he needed a day off from assisting a wedding photographer. He asked me if I could cover for him. I did that and realized how exciting it is to be around people during their most precious moments. One thing that I love about photographing a wedding is that you never know exactly what you're going to get. No matter how many times you've shot the same venue, it's the couple's energy and emotions that make each and every wedding their own. It's not about me, it's about the couple.
TWP: Tell us about your photography style. What makes your images unique?
EEP: One of the things that I feel make my images unique is that I love interacting with people. I feel very lucky to be in a career where part of my job is to talk to people and get to know them. The best photos come out when a couple feels at ease and like we're just hanging out. Do I pose my couples? Absolutely. But I want my couples to be themselves and let their personalities shine through. That's how their photos are going to feel special and unique to them.
TWP: Do you have a favorite wedding moment to capture?
EEP: It would have to be the couple's session. After we're done with the wedding party, the families (I like to do them first so they don't have to wait around for us), it's our time to come up with creative, fun, intimate, romantic, and everything in between photos. Since we've had already shot the engagement session prior to the wedding, I know the dynamics of the bride and groom the day of the wedding. I know if they're more quirky, a little more serious, what style, angles, and look they like the most. This is our time to play and be creative!
TWP: Do you have a favorite memory as a wedding photographer?
EEP: I was in El Salvador shooting my cousin's wedding a while back, and it was a bit of a life changer. Although every wedding had been important to me, it wasn't until I was shooting my grandmother who I grew up with, that it made me realize just what an impact I'm making on people's lives. I will have photos of all my family for the rest of my life. And I realize how important those memories are to everyone who allows me to be a part of their special day.

TWP:Are there any specific photography trends you would like to see 'retire'?
EEP:If they're trends, they will die out on their own given time. There's nothing I can really think of that evokes that much negative emotion in me that I can't wait for it to go away. And a photographer's work should never be a gimmick or a trend. Trends and gimmicks go away. The best advice for any photographer is to stay true to themselves and continue to evolve.
TWP: Do you have any practical advice for couples on the hunt for a wedding photographer?
EEP:My advice would be to really think about what kind of impact photography will make on your wedding. A solid, talented photographer can make any venue look amazing. Conversely, an amateur or a cut-rate photographer may make those super expensive flowers, dresses, shoes, venue look less desirable. And definitely go with a photographer that will take you out to do an engagement session. I find them to be super important in knowing you made the right choice. You're not only hiring a camera and a talent, you're spending time with your photographer. It's better to know you're going to have a blast with them the day of your wedding! Plus you now have amazing photos to show your friends and family to get them excited for your big day!
Eeeeek!!! Aren't you so in love with these images?!! Now then. . . meet Elmer, his fiance' Angelique and Tank! Sweetness. . .
Love, love, love!!! Giant size TWP hugs and kisses to Elmer for taking the time to help us get to know him a bit. We are crazy about his work and can NOT wait for him to submit more pics that we can share with y'all. :)
