Well now.  Who knew bridals in a bathroom could be so beautiful?!!  We sure didn't!  Soooo pretty.  Gorgeous bride and what about that gorgeous gown!  

Barbara Lagasse married her true love, Greg Day March 29, 2014 at Pulaski Heights Methodist Church in LIttle Rock, AR.  Their reception was held at the beautiful Villa Marre.

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Day!!!  We wish you lots and lots of love and laughter and of course a wonderful happily ever after.  :)

Special thanks to Christopher Nolan Photography for making our blog so pretty today.  We simply adore Christopher and Nancy's work!  Speaking of, they shot Barbara and Greg's breathtaking engagement pics.  Be sure to check them if you missed.  So fab!  Can't wait to see their wedding pics.  Goodness gracious. Happy Cinco de Mayo, y'all! What better way to celebrate this fun day than with a little loving straight from Mexico. . .complete with sombreros!  You've all seen her, you all know her and of course, you all love her. . .we're talking about Founder of The Property Group, the brain behind Live The Home Life blog and the queen of all things D-I-Y, Cara Wilkerson, now Cara Hazlewood!  With sand beneath her feet and close family and friends on hand, Cara wed her beau, Michael Hazlewood, in Riviera Maya, Mexico on March 22, 2014!  Little Rock photographer, Danielle Davis of Danielle Davis Art/Photography, made the trip South to catch these images and we are so lucky to share them with you today!!!  You might just want a margarita in hand for this one. . .

Pinnacle Mountain is indeed one of our state's greatest treasures!  Today we have an adorable engagement session by Stephanie Nunley Photography atop this magnificent mountain.  In fact, this very mountain is where these two sweethearts, Matt Johnson and Heather Hill, got engaged on Matt's birthday!  Even with stormy weather lingering during their shoot, we absolutely love these photos and the love that radiates between these two!

Hey, y'all!  We've had so much going on the last few weeks our heads are spinning. We're dancing a little happy dance over at 'The Post Office' today!  So thrilled are we to be posting the engagement pics of one of our favorite people!!!  Meet our friend Meagan Steen and her soon to be hubby, Courter Hall. . .

Yipeeee!!!  What a fun shoot.  Megan and Courter are planning to tie the knot January 17, 2015.  We couldn't be happier for these two lovebirds and can't wait for their big day!!!

Today is the day!! I can't believe it's here and I hardly know where to start! But as I allow myself a few minutes to sit here and soak it all in before today gets wild, here's my almost-married bridal advice. Be in every moment, forget about the details that WILL work themselves out and enjoy those around you who have traveled long and far just to celebrate you. 

It's an overwhelming but amazing feeling, but when I glanced around the room last night at our rehearsal dinner, I was flooded with memories of everyone there. I wanted to spend quality time with each person and let them know how much I loved and appreciated them! I had lifelong friends from my hometown, college friends and sorority sisters, and my current crew of best friends and roommates. Not to mention, my big ole family who loves me unconditionally! And Steven had the same amount of supportive and loving friends and family. We were humbled and awed by that feeling, and I'll never forget it. 

And the toasts! New favorite part of weddings. My advice is to get a videographer (we loved Nilo productions!) so you will remember every word. The speeches were so touching and precious to us, and we are thankful to everyone who spoke. 

I got a musical treat from my very talented father who wrote me a song entitled, "The Best Day". It was the icing on the cake! He performed his song live while Steven and I danced and fought back our tears. Should have used that waterproof mascara... but that's another piece of advice. 

If you have loved ones with special talents, whether it be musical, artistic, poetry, whatever! Find a way to use it. It adds something unique and powerful to the night. 

And like a lot of advice given to me, I agree that the best part about weddings is being surrounded by everyone you love in one place. That will never happen again, and you'll want to take advantage of the time with them. That's what rehearsal dinners are for! 

I'd also love to give a shout out to my future mother-in-law, Dr. Carol Meadors for organizing the whole event with the help of our wedding planner, Rachel Haynes. I've never been in a more stunning and peaceful setting, or seen more beautiful decor. Thanks to all the friends, family and planners who took care of all the details. I walked into a wonderland and walked out feeling so incredibly blessed! The best feeling.  I wish it for every future bride!!

In just a few hours I'll be walking down the aisle to join the love of my life.  I can hardly contain my joy.  I love you, Steven and can't wait to begin this new adventure with you.

Today we're focusing on the queen of the floral world, the peony.  Our favorite flower, by far.  She wears a large variety of beautiful colors but our most fave is pink, of course. . .

Ahhhh.  We could stare at these lovely ladies all day long!  Arkansas has some of the best florists around so it's a good idea to chat with them about availability and costs when you're planning your big day.

Perhaps you're one of the lucky ones who knows a friend or family member who grows these showy flowers?  Whatever the case, you can't go wrong with pretty pink peonies!

Happiest of Wednesdays to you, TWPers!  Just when you thought there was no happiness to be found in this dreary day, lookie what we have for you.  Surprise!!!  Happiness galore.  Check it. . .

Ahhhh... must have been the most dreamy day imaginable.  So perfect.  Katy Barber and Hunter Bezet exchanged wedding vows March 25, 2014 on the island of St. John.  The Marriott Frenchman's Reef provided the lovely flowers for the day and took care of all the special details that helped to make Katy and Hunter's wedding day unforgettable.

We featured these lovebirds'engagement pics back in March.  Be sure to take a look in case you missed them.  Totally adorbs!  Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Bezet from TWP  We wish the newlyweds a lifetime of happiness and joy!

Hello, sunshine!  So happy to see the clouds clear and the sun shine down on our sweet state again.  It's a beautiful day here in central Arkansas and what better way to celebrate than with even more happiness. Check out this sweet sesh by Studio 1910 Photography.  Welcome to Thursday, y'all!

We've wanted to share this engagement session with you for quite a while and today seemed like THE day! Amelia Falwell and Shane Smith are planning a December 13, 2014 wedding.  We're thrilled for this lovebirds and wish them all the best!

Amelia share their engagement story with TWP:
"Shane spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with my family and me, and at some point he slipped a ring box into my stocking. Naturally, my curiosity was heightened upon noticing the box, but I remained calm, assuring myself that there was no way he got me an engagement ring for Christmas, and I was right.  Kind of. Inside the ring box was the cutest sterling silver "owl" ring that matched a necklace Shane had previously given to me.  The ring was adorable; however, I would be lying if I said I wasn't a tiny bit disappointed that it wasn't, indeed, an engagement ring.  Just when I was about to close the box and move on to the next stocking stuffer, Shane nervously asked, "Did you not see the note in there?  There was a note in that ring box.  I guess you lost it." Upon re-examination of the box, I noticed a tiny, neatly-folded note in the top portion of the ring box that read, "Amelia, Will you Marry me? (You get a real ring on Saturday)." I can't remember much that happened after that, but my mom told me that I never gave poor Shane an answer.  I just laughed a lot.  The following Saturday Shane and I traveled to Memphis, met with a jeweler and customized the engagement ring of my dreams!"

Green Wedding Shoes

When I think of the 1920's it nearly feels like a dream.  Full of glamour and glitz and over the top, exquisite events, I think that I would enjoy my time if transported back to that wondrous period!  A couple of years back I was given the opportunity to design and coordinate a Gatsby-esque wedding soiree and it was so much fun!  As I dream back to that day, I wanted to share some of my favorite art deco looks with y'all!

The Friday before Memorial Day is a special day!  It's basically like the beginning of an adult Spring Break in my mind.  So, whether you have a big weekend planned somewhere wonderful or just a list of "to do's" around the house like me, we are hoping to kick start your weekend with a special session by Kayleigh Ross Photography!  Meet Heather and Greg!
